Zhang, Yingjin(張英進)教授現任美國加州大學聖地牙哥分校文學系教授且兼任Director of Chinese Studies Program，其研究專長除了中國文學與比較文學之外，近年更涉及電影研究、視覺文化等相關研究，研究成果亦相當豐碩，近年已出版之專著論述包括：“Thinking outside the Box: Mediation of Imaging and Information in Contemporary Chinese Independent Documentary,” inScreen 48.2 (2007) (A&HCI); “Chinese Cinema in the New Century: Prospects and Problems,” in World Literature Today 81.4 (2007) (A&HCI)/ “Transnationalism and Translocality in Chinese Cinema,” in Cinema Journal 40.3 (2010) (SSCI); Cinema, Space, and Polylocality in a Globalizing China, (U of Hawaii Press, 2009)等，亦曾擔任重要論著之編輯，如Chinese Film Stars, ed. With Mary Farquhar, (Routledge, 2010); From Underground to Independent: Alternative Film Culture in Contemporary China, ed. with Paul Pickowicz and with a preface (Rowman & Littlefield, 2006)等。
